I have a book on hold at the library called: A Year Without "Made in China": One Family's True Life Adventure in the Global Economy, written by Sara Bongiorni. I'm still WAY down on the list, but making my way slowly to the top. It's about a family that went for an entire year without buying anything made in China. Should be interesting!

i bet if we decided to not buy anything from China, we would save lots of money.
:) i think you're right.
I'll bet that was amazingly difficult. It's scary how dependent we are on the third world for cheap goods.
I would be interested in reading the book Anita referred to.
I imagine if we intentionally avoided just China, we would find ourselves unable to make many purchases. The interesting question is; do we really need much of that stuff anyway? Perhaps they discuss that in the book.
