I made Pioneer Woman's apple dumplings for the family reunion today, and corn-on-the-cob. Yummy! All the food was oh-so-good! But the company was even better!

How could I possibly have forgotten to charge the batteries to my camera? Ack!!

I'm SO hoping my sister-in-law will copy her pictures to a disk. I still can't believe the batteries in my camera were dead.
Oh well. It was a fun day, although somewhat bittersweet.
Oh, and my brother and nephew left halfway through the day to go and fight a wildfire at Lake Cushman. When we left at 8:30 they still hadn't come home. All in a day's work for a fire chief and volunteer, I guess!

We just did that in August--we are a mixed family-he has 4..I have 2 so togehter there is 6 of them. All six have not been together since 1985 so thought this would be a good time.
He has 7 grands and 2 great grand..I have 3 grands..we had 22 at the houses for dinner. The grands range in age form 23 to 3 months.....so much work but so much fun.....
