blogging and rhubarb!

Twice a week I drive about 45 miles to take my son to a class he's taking. While he spends two hours in class I try to find things to do to fill my time. Usually, I'll run to the store if I need a few groceries, or head over to Dennis & Co. to browse around, but most of the time I spend that two hours sitting in my car, reading and frankly, a little bored.

But...not today! Today I found the local library. Oh, Happy Day! They have internet! So, today, I'm sitting here at the library catching up on my blogging and researching rhubarb. This is going to work out better than I thought!

So im sitting here in my room, practicing tomorrow mornings worship set, and my RSS reader pops up with your blog post, so i took a break to read it - cause my fingers hurt and really needed a break.

I have 2 comments on your post:

First, you said "Oh, happy day" and now i have a certain worship song stuck in my head. I get songs stuck in my head quite easily. "Oh happy day, happy day, you wash our sins away.... Oh, what a glorious day....." I dont much care for that song either, and its a regular in our rotation at church.

Hmm, that got me thinking about how hard it is to help lead worship with songs i dont particularly like. Maybe if i still had a blog, i could write at length about that.

(yes, im scatterbrained tonight)

Second comment. I hate rhubarb. I hate it so much if the only two foods available to live on was rhubarb and lima beans, it'd be a real hard choice....

... between lime beans and starvation.

Although, i did have a rhubarb wine once that didn't completely suck.

Ok, back to practicing my acoustic guitars for tomorrow morning. Yes, im playing acoustic, maybe even the 12-string, not that you care, but i am nervous because i am used to bass, and the musicians are ONLY Len and myself - meaning its hard to hide my amateurish skills when theres not much else going on musically.

ok, typed too much. good night. thanks for the distraction from practice, i needed it.... seriously.

I've decided i don't want a blog anymore for several reasons. I also killed my twitter account as well.

I killed twitter because i keep getting followed by people i don't know, and i really don't care to meet people online. If we get a good group of friends and family to do twitter, id join back up because twitter is really cool for keeping in touch with your own people.

The blog - i am unable to have one and properly manage my time at work and at home. So for personal discipline reasons, i feel i need to not own a blog. I've done this before and thought i could manage my time better, but i keep finding myself not spending the time with my family that i should be.

Participating in the discussions of our little FBC blogosphere is just about as much blogging as i can justify.
